Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about QR King — from privacy to printing recommendations.

Yes! QR King is 100% free with no hidden charges, scan limits, or mandatory registration. Create unlimited QR codes for commercial and personal use — no watermarks, no paywalls.

No. All QR codes generated here are static QR codes — the encoded data is baked directly into the visual matrix pattern. They never expire and will work indefinitely as long as the encoded content (URL, phone number, etc.) remains valid.

Absolutely. The entire QR rendering process happens 100% inside your web browser via client-side JavaScript. None of your entered text, WiFi passwords, contact details, or uploaded logos are ever sent to or stored on any remote server.

Error correction allows a QR scanner to reconstruct missing or covered modules. Level H can recover up to 30% of covered pixels, ensuring your QR code remains scannable even with a logo overlaid in the center. Without high error correction, the logo may block critical data modules and prevent scanning.

We recommend downloading the SVG vector format for anything that will be printed — flyers, business cards, billboards, product packaging, or posters. SVG files retain perfect pixel-sharpness at any scale, from a tiny label to a building-sized banner. Use PNG for digital-only use cases (websites, social media, email signatures).

You can create QR codes for 11 different data types: Website URL, Plain Text, Email (with subject & body), Phone Number (click-to-call), SMS (with pre-filled message), WhatsApp (direct chat link), WiFi (auto-connect credentials), vCard (digital business card), Google Maps (location coordinates), UPI (Indian payment system), and Calendar Event (iCalendar format).

Yes! Upload any PNG, JPG, or SVG image as a centered logo overlay under the "Logo & Image Overlay" customization panel. We recommend switching to Error Correction Level H when embedding logos. The logo should ideally cover no more than 20–25% of the QR code area to ensure reliable scanning.

Click the WiFi tab in the generator, enter your network name (SSID), password, and encryption type (WPA/WPA2 is most common). The generated QR code, when scanned by a guest's phone, will automatically prompt them to connect to your WiFi without typing the password manually.

For reliable scanning, printed QR codes should be at least 2 × 2 cm (roughly 0.8 × 0.8 inches). For outdoor or distance scanning (posters, signage), use the formula: scanning distance ÷ 10 = minimum QR code side length. Always ensure a clear quiet zone (white margin) around the code.

Yes, all generated QR codes are completely free for both personal and commercial use without any attribution requirements. Use them on products, marketing materials, business cards, restaurant menus, event tickets, or any digital platform.

Generating a location QR code is easy. Open the Maps tab in our generator, then input your desired address, coordinates, or Google Maps link. The generator will instantly create a location QR code that opens directly in a user's map application.

Navigate to the UPI Pay tab. You can either select the simple UPI ID mode or the detailed Bank Account mode. Enter the respective VPA or bank details (like Account Number and IFSC). Once filled, the UPI QR code is automatically generated and ready to receive payments.

First, go to your Google Form and copy its shareable link (URL). Then, come back to our toolkit, click the URL tab, and paste the link into the website field. You can now download and print this QR code to quickly collect survey responses.

Expert Guides

Mastering QR Code Generation

Learn advanced tips and step-by-step solutions for creating the perfect QR code for your specific needs.

Generate QR Code for Location

Sharing physical places has never been simpler. If you're wondering how to generate QR code for location data, our tool makes it seamless. Perfect for real estate agents, event organizers, and retail stores, a location-based QR code instantly directs customers to your exact geographic coordinates via their default maps app.

To create one, just enter your latitude and longitude, or search for a specific landmark in our Maps tab. The toolkit will instantly generate a scannable map link that can be printed on posters, invitations, or business cards.

By eliminating the need for customers to type in long addresses or search for vague directions, you drastically reduce friction and improve the likelihood that attendees will actually find your venue or storefront.

UPI Generate QR Code

For Indian businesses and freelancers, the ability to generate a UPI QR code is absolutely essential for frictionless digital payments. Using our specialized UPI generator, you can encode your Virtual Payment Address (VPA), payee name, and even lock in a specific transaction amount.

When scanned by popular consumer apps like Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm, the customer is immediately prompted to pay the pre-filled amount directly into your bank account. No more sharing phone numbers or bank details manually.

You can also use our advanced Bank Account mode, which allows you to input an IFSC code and Account Number to automatically generate a valid UPI-compatible payment routing ID, perfect for businesses that prefer direct bank transfers.

How to Generate QR Code for Google Form

Collecting feedback, event registrations, or survey answers in the real world is incredibly efficient when you know how to generate a QR code for Google form links. Instead of typing out long, complex URLs, simply copy the "Send" link from your form and paste it into the URL tab of this generator.

You can place the resulting QR code on receipts, presentation slides, or event posters. This bridges the physical-to-digital gap and massively increases your submission rates by making the barrier to entry as low as a simple smartphone scan.

For maximum engagement, consider customizing the QR code with a call-to-action (like "Scan to Review") and embedding your company's logo in the center so users know the link is safe and trustworthy.
